Asking For Self, Male 19, Lahore
Aoa. I've been having a bladder problem since 1 year. Initially i used to see a clear discharge (could be urine drops, not too sure) after urination accompanied by the frequent urge to urinate. My average urination cycle is between 6-8 times per day which is not said to be normal for my age. Talked to a GP and they said it could be overactive bladder. Any other possibilities that may be present? Also got my HBA1C done just to be safe from any sugar related problems which was also normal. Other than that, CBC and TSH were also done which were normal too. P.S I've had a bad posture since a few years.

Overactive bladder (OAB) is a condition that causes a sudden and urgent need to urinate. It can be very disruptive to your life, making it difficult to travel, work, or even sleep. There are a number of treatment options available for OAB, including:
Behavioral therapy: This type of therapy helps you learn how to control your bladder and reduce the number of times you feel the urge to urinate. It may include techniques such as bladder training, pelvic floor muscle exercises, and biofeedback.
Medication: There are a number of medications that can help to relax the bladder and reduce the frequency of urinary urges. These medications may have side effects, so it's important to talk to your doctor about which one is right for you.
Surgery: In some cases, surgery may be an option for OAB. There are a number of different surgical procedures available, and the best one for you will depend on your individual circumstances.
The best treatment for OAB will vary from person to person. Some people may find that behavioral therapy is enough to manage their symptoms, while others may need to take medication or even have surgery. It's important to talk to your doctor about your options so that you can find the treatment that's right for you.
Here are some additional tips for managing OAB:
Avoid triggers: There are a number of things that can trigger OAB symptoms, such as caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods. Avoiding these triggers can help to reduce the frequency of your urinary urges.
Stay hydrated: It's important to stay hydrated, but drinking too much fluid can also trigger OAB symptoms. Talk to your doctor about how much fluid you should be drinking each day.
Empty your bladder completely: When you go to the bathroom, make sure to empty your bladder completely. This will help to prevent the urge to urinate more frequently.
Bladder training: Bladder training is a type of behavioral therapy that can help you to control your bladder and reduce the number of times you feel the urge to urinate. With bladder training, you gradually increase the amount of time you can go between urinations.
Pelvic floor muscle exercises: Pelvic floor muscle exercises, also known as Kegel exercises, can help to strengthen the muscles that support your bladder. Strong pelvic floor muscles can help to prevent urinary incontinence.
If you're experiencing OAB symptoms, talk to your doctor. There are a number of effective treatment options available, and you can find one that's right for you.
