Talk to Urologist on Urine Blockage
Asking For Father, Male 63, Lahore
My father has had a kidney stone surgery (last month) with DJ stent put inside his ureter. Blood clots are still causing blockage in his urine. Dr has prescribed transamine to stop bleeding, but that only stopped bleeding, clots are still coming. plus he has also constipation and fever since last two days.
I need to know age of patient.?
Why stent was placed?
Status of kidney?
Status of prostate,?
Having fever with clots is serious need urgent treatment
From where surgery has been done what abt stone was completely removed?

operated at Jinnah hospital by Dr Sajid on 23rd Feb.
40mm stone has been removed but 13mm stone in kidney is still reported in KUB X-ray and ultra sound.
now fresh blood is being stopped by taking transamine.
but dry blood clots are causing trouble in urination. we are using 3way folley for irrigation and wash.
now main trouble is constipation, fever and clots urine blockage.

Having blood in urine is quite common since it irritates the internal lining of bladder and ureters.
Prescribing or taking transamine is not a good practice as it clots the blood which you see coming out in urine. Or it may form a bigger clot in the bladder that might require surgery / procedure to remove or take it out. Hence, I won't recommend Transamine.
When is the stent due to be taken out?
Earlier the better. That the only way, his problem would be sorted.
In the meanwhile, have him drink plenty of water.

stent due date is 15april. drs suggested for lithotripsy for remaining stones in kidney. then will remove stent.
before transamine there was continues bleeding in urine even after two weeks. that's why Dr prescribed.
now due to folley catheter or constipation he's having high fever with shivering.

age is 63,
dj stent placed after kidney stone surgery to make ureter open for urine flow. also there are two stones remaining in kidney (1.2cm), that's why stent is there.
prostate was enlarged in double size, but after taking tamsol d cap. it is in normal state.
plus he has pale color and feeling blood deficiency.
emergency drs said k this fever is due to folley catheter
