All public and private schools across Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2024 (Wednesday) for Labour Day. The notification is for all schools in all provinces of Pakistan, including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and all other areas.
The Cabinet Division has declared a public holiday for 2024 on May 1st. Labor Day is celebrated to acknowledge the rights and contributions of workers within Pakistan and all around the world.

Chief Secretary Sindh shared a notification that there will be a public holiday in Sindh for all government offices, semi-autonomous bodies, autonomous bodies, local councils, and corporations under the administrative control of the Sindh government, other than essential services.
Moreover, the Central Bank of Pakistan has also declared May 1, 2024, a bank holiday, as well.
