Marham has achieved yet another milestone as the startup’s inspirational story was covered by Idea Croron Ka – a reality show that gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ideas to potential investors.
Under Facebook’s Community Leadership Program, six communities from Pakistan have been selected for their impactful contribution to the society. Marham also made it to the list of six impactful communities. Later, Facebook partnered with Idea Croron Ka Tv show in which community leaders would feature in the show and share their vision.
Marham started off with this Facebook community where people could help each other with health information, doctors, and their reviews. In a few days, thousands of people started joining the community and began sharing the information with each other. After seeing the community’s exponential growth, Marham decided to extend its services to a website, mobile apps and call center. Patients could find complete doctors’ information, read reviews, and book appointments online every month. Not only this but through telemedicine, now patients are consulting authentic doctors from their phones.
Now, Marham has 12,000+ registered doctors on their platform. More than 300,000 patients are looking for the health information each month on Marham’s website. Patients can ask questions, find doctor details, book online appointments, save health records and seek the second opinion. Doctors can update their profile, manage appointments, create health records, generate prescriptions and interact with their patients.
Marham community has now almost 135k members and hundreds of queries are answered each day in the group making Marham one of the most impactful communities on Facebook.
The two co-founders – Asma Salman Omer and Farwa Ali represented Marham on the show. They shared Marham’s story of how it has grown on to become the largest and most authentic healthcare platform in Pakistan. They added that it is the pain and empathy for patients is that motivates them to create the best healthcare experience for patients in Pakistan.
Marham was also awarded $20,000 under the Facebook community leadership program as a token of appreciation at the end of the show.
