Lahore: The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has decided to postpone two intermediate exams due to the upcoming by-elections which are scheduled for April 21, 2024, in the provincial capital.
In a letter to The Commissioner of Lahore, the Controller of Examinations for the Lahore Board stated that 1,315 individuals, including deputy superintendents, invigilators, and superintendents are allocated to election duties. Therefore, it is not possible to conduct the inter-part 2 exams as scheduled.
Consequently, the Chemistry exam which was originally set for April 20, 2024, and the English exam scheduled for April 22, 2024, are postponed.
With new amendments, the Chemistry paper will held on Mary 23, 2024. Moreover, the new date for the English paper is May 25, 2024.
BISE Lahore additionally announced that exams will be postponed, and students will take exams at the same assigned examination centers and roll numbers.
On the other hand, due to recent rains across the province, the Education Department of Chitral has canceled the matriculation board exams that were going to take place on April 18, 19, and 20. The revised dates of these exams will also be announced later.
