In view of the threat of the spread of a new variant of Corona, JN.1, a directive has been issued, which has been said to identify and isolate people associated with Corona-infected people.
According to the details, the Sindh Health Department’s initiative came out on the increase in the cases of corona variant across the country.
Director General Health Sindh has issued a directive regarding the new coronavirus variant, in which all DHOs and Medical Superintendents of Sindh have been instructed to take action regarding the new variant.
The directive states that the people associated with the corona-infected persons should be identified and isolated, the persons associated with the infected patients should get tested and self-isolation should be adopted.
DG Health Sindh said that coronavirus wards should be set up in all DHQs, and THQs, corona positive people should be isolated to prevent the possible spread of the virus.
He further said that beds and resources should be ensured in all the hospitals, especially in the affected areas, and the vaccination process should be accelerated.
DG Health Sindh directed that reliable sources should be used instead of false news related to Corona, the spread of Corona, diagnosis of new cases should be monitored with strong surveillance, and people should use face masks while taking precautionary measures.
