The Sindh government has extended summer holidays in Sindh for all public and private schools till August 14, 2024.
The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department extended the summer vacations in Sindh 2024 due to the heatwave and expected monsoon rains.
However, it is said that the co-curricular activities on Independence Day, August 14, 2024, will carry on in educational institutes as usual. Schools will celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day on August 14 with full participation to ensure the spirit of the occasion is maintained.
Before, the summer vacations in Sindh were commenced from June 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024.
The official notification issued on Tuesday stated that:
“In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions and expected monsoon precipitation, summer vacations are extended across all educational institutions under the School Education & Literacy Department until the 14th of August, 2024.”
