The Punjab School Education Department on Friday announced summer vacations in Punjab 2024 for public and private schools and colleges.
As the country on Friday faced scorching heat and rising temperatures, the Punjab School Education Department issued a summer vacation 2024 in Punjab notification. All the private and public schools of Punjab will remain closed from June 1, 2024, until August 14, 2024.
The summer vacation 2024 in Punjab notification stated:
“All public and private schools throughout Punjab shall remain closed from Saturday, 1st June 2024, to Wednesday, 14th August 2024, for summer vacation.”
Moreover, it also added that:
All schools in the province shall reopen with effect from Thursday 15th August, 2024.
Previously, the Balochistan Education Department had also announced summer vacations for school.

Meanwhile, the timings of federal educational institutions have been changed due to the increasing risk of heat waves.
According to the Secretary of Education, federal educational institutions will now start from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The new timings of the federal schools have been implemented and will remain until summer vacations.
The Secretary of Education said that the purpose of changing the timing is to protect the teachers and students from the expected heatwave.
