The Punjab government has announced two weekly holidays for schools across the province.
Punjab Educational Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that Saturday has also been formally announced as a weekly holiday by the government. This means that the schools will now remain closed for two days a week.
This decision has been taken to provide relief to the community of teachers in Punjab.
He added:
“Teachers are serving the nation and it is our duty to take care of them”.
The education minister added that the decision of two-weekly holidays has been taken into account due to heavy loans on teachers.
He said that the timings of the schools will be increased from Monday to Friday so the decision will not affect the education of the students.
New Schedule for Two Weekly Holidays for Schools After Summer Vacation
All schools in Punjab will remain closed for 2 days a week. The Punjab government aims to provide relief to the teachers that’s why this decision has been taken.
